I am a British painter living and working between the Dorset coast and Oxford. I gained a BA in English Literature from the University of Oxford in 2019 and completed my MFA at the City & Guilds of London Art School in 2026. The places, people, and rhythms of these environments are central to my work, with their particular light and spaces seeping into the paintings.
My paintings begin with material drawn from daily life. Intimate observations are gradually transformed through reduced, luminous passages of paint and sparing marks into something more elusive. I am interested in the space between the familiar and the strange, where a specific moment or place becomes open-ended.
Through colour, rhythm and the shifting relationships between figures and space, ordinary moments become estranged from themselves. I use the particularity of my own world to explore the ways that memory, feeling and perception shape our experience of living in time.
