I am a British painter, living and working between London and Oxford. I gained a BA in English Literature from the University of Oxford in 2019, and completed my MFA at the City & Guilds of London Art School in 2026.
My paintings start with what's close at hand — a blanket, a doorway at first light. Drawn straight from daily life, these observations are worked and reworked in reduced, luminous passages of oil until the ordinary tips into something else: still recognisable, but no longer quite locatable.
Colour, rhythm, and the shifting relationships between figure and space carry the unease. Ordinary moments become estranged from themselves. I paint from the particulars of my own world — its light, its people, its domestic rituals — to think about how memory and perception bend a moment out of its own time.
